UPC Cablecom is today one of the leading providers of telecom services and cable-TV solutions to the Swiss market, and is well know for its high quality and service demands. Competition is fierce and UPC Cablecom was looking for a way to maintain and strengthen growth and market share in a sustainable way. Trifork has been working with UPC Cablecom Since 2011.
CIO Mike Green explains: “We wanted to keep momentum in our growth in the Swiss market and culture. UPC Cablecom explored different approaches and the Agile thinking expressed in the scrum methodology gave resonance. UPC Cablecom approached Trifork to get an experienced Agile partner on board. Trifork has trained and coached more than 2.000 managers and team members world wide and in the Swiss market Trifork offers a range of open certifications, trainings, and free sessions as well as in-house workshops for board, executive, and team level alike. Since 2011, Trifork has provided in-house training, workshops, and ongoing coaching at UPC Cablecom at executive, management, team, and individual levels.
After working with Agile implementation activities for more than a year in the IT division, UPC Cablecom has experienced results in both delivery and flexibility, as well as employee and internal customer satisfaction. It is not without challenges but UPC Cablecom is ready to bring the Agile mind-set to the next level. Business Line, management and executive levels outside IT are next up. CIO Mike Green outlines the coming agile initiatives:
“We have not reached the limit of the results we can get with Agile methods in IT. However, Agile methods are not exclusively for IT. They can be applied across the board and create results across a range of business divisions”.
