New Solution Helps Airlines See Turnaround Risks Earlier and Protect Valuable Minutes

For airlines, better turnaround visibility can mean earlier action, fewer disruptions and significant operational value at scale. VION AI makes physical activity around the aircraft visible, measurable and actionable in real time.

Every minute matters during an aircraft turnaround. When delays are identified earlier, operational teams have more time to intervene before disruption spreads into the wider operation.

At World Aviation Festival 2026, Trifork will showcase how VION AI turns physical activity around the aircraft into real-time operational data, helping airlines identify deviations earlier and make faster, better-informed decisions.

Combined with Trifork’s iFly4 platform, VION AI connects computer vision insights with operational data, workflows and teams. The technology is already being tested with SWISS International Air Lines, where automated passenger counting is the first use case. The current model is showing above 99% individual passenger count accuracy as the teams work towards the final thresholds required for dependable day-to-day deployment.

The broader opportunity is to make more of the turnaround visible as it happens. Earlier insight into activities such as boarding, baggage, catering, cleaning and aircraft readiness can give teams more time to respond, helping protect valuable turnaround minutes and reduce the operational impact of delays.

The model is an illustration of the financial value of turnaround time, not a claim that VION AI currently delivers these savings.

One integration. Anywhere you fly.

For airlines operating across international networks, consistent operational visibility can require integrations with different systems, suppliers and partners at every airport.

VION AI introduces an aircraft-centric approach. Combined with iFly4, the ambition is one solution, anywhere you fly, bringing information across boarding, baggage, catering, cleaning, servicing and aircraft readiness into one operational picture.

By combining observations from the physical operation with existing airline data, teams can gain a clearer view of how the turnaround is progressing, where deviations are emerging and where intervention may be needed.

“From day one, we shared a vision of making frontline operations visible and actionable in real time. Many critical activities during an aircraft turnaround still happen outside traditional digital systems, which means operational teams do not always have the information they need when they need it. By combining VION AI’s aircraft-centric visibility with Trifork’s iFly4 platform and aviation experience, we have the opportunity to turn more of those physical events into operational data and ultimately help airlines identify risks earlier and act faster.”

For airlines, the value proposition is simple: see more of what is happening around the aircraft, identify risks earlier and create more time to act before disruption spreads.

Trifork will showcase VION AI and iFly4 at World Aviation Festival 2026 in Lisbon, demonstrating how greater visibility into physical operations can support faster decisions and more efficient turnaround performance.
