These systems only had little or no connection between them. As a result, in 2012 the organization was facing the challenge of improving their data quality by developing a master database that could handle all incoming data from various systems and ensure excellent data quality for stakeholder reporting.
A joint team of developers from both Trifork and Sparinvest was established with the purpose of developing a solution that would prevent inconsistency of data, minimize the administrative workload when reporting, decrease the maintenance level of IT-systems and avoid manual typing of data in various systems.
The solution that Trifork proposed and which now is implemented includes a Master Data Hub that contains instant data from all systems. Through a message handler registered data in particular systems are validated and transferred after approved compliance, thereby ensuring consistency of data across systems and in the Master Data Hub, from which data can be pulled when reporting.

“One point of entry” was the working title of the project and is the method that will be used to ensure a high data quality and availability in the future projects at Sparinvest. We constantly strive towards implementing the best systems available to support our business, and with the Master Data Hub we now smoothly can replace existing systems with new and improved ones. Trifork was chosen as the preferred partner due to their extensive knowledge about Microsoft Platforms, .Net and Message Queuing. At the same time, Trifork are experts in doing Agile development projects and with Sparinvest being used to working agile, Trifork matched the most important criteria.
