As part of a collaborative initiative, Trifork and GOTO have organised a series of round table sessions with GOTO experts and Trifork software professionals. The round tables are curated discussions tailored for leaders in the software industry. During this discussion Asim Hussain will moderate and encourage no more than 10 attendees to explore the topic around “Green Software“.
Please note: This round table discussion has a limited number of seats. Please request participation and we will contact you within 72 hours to confirm your spot.
Software has a huge impact on the world in so many ways. With the introduction of the cloud, the raw power it takes to run our software has become invisible, but it certainly has not been removed. Imagine all the energy that goes into our smart online solutions — how does that impact our environment and life?
Green Software Engineering is an emerging discipline at the intersection of climate science, software practices and architecture, electricity markets, hardware, and data centre design. We have a responsibility to make sure that we use technology to benefit both humans and the planet. Green Software Engineers are responsible for understanding and reducing the carbon pollution of their applications.
Further, imagine all the decisions — good and bad — being done either based on software or directly by software itself every day… And what about ethics? This might be a whole other discussion, though we cannot fully separate the two.
We’d like to invite you to an inspiring round table about sustainability and responsibility. What are we currently doing as a business? As individuals? – What are others doing?
Please join us for a wonderful chance to share experiences, to inspire and get inspired.
This round table discussion is curated for software leaders such as Heads and Directors of Software Engineering, CTOs, Senior Software Architects and more.
