NextGen IT company Trifork has been selected as one of several suppliers for a framework agreement with Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S, with a total value of 500 million DKK over eight years. With the framework agreement, Trifork will have the opportunity to contribute to the development, operation, and maintenance of a comprehensive digital mobile solution for public transport travelers in Denmark. The solution will initially be implemented alongside the well-known physical Rejsekort.
Rejsekort is an electronic ticketing system for buses, trains, metros, and light rail, with approximately 3.4 million active users and 167 million trips in 2022. Rejseplanen is a web and app-based system for travel planning with public transport, with over 510 million searches in 2022. Both products are crucial for users of public transport in Denmark. The goal is to enable travel planning, booking, ticketing, and payment through a comprehensive mobility solution across public and private modes of transport.

Trifork has extensive experience in solutions within the transport sector and is currently responsible for the development and maintenance of parts of both Rejsekort’s and DSB’s application portfolios. Trifork is behind the DSB app, which has over half a million monthly users, and Rejsekort’s Check Out app, a solution for those who have forgotten to check out with Rejsekort, with several thousand users daily. Trifork has also delivered innovative digital solutions to Banedanmark.
