New prescribing rights support better workflows and patient care
From 1 July 2025, authorised nurses and midwives will be able to independently prescribe selected medications and vaccinations directly in the danish national medication record, FMK (Fælles Medicinkort).
This new functionality marks a step forward in enabling healthcare professionals to act more independently, ultimately improving workflows and freeing up time for direct patient care.
Enabling Clinical Flexibility
The change is driven by legislation related to reserved professional fields and reflects a broader shift towards more flexible and efficient clinical practices. With this update, FMK now better supports the evolving needs of healthcare professionals across settings.
Whether through FMK-online or integrated into clinical systems, the update is available when organisations are ready to adopt it.
