Trifork Transport Refund automizes and streamlines an otherwise heavy work process. The process of handling applications and reimbursements of transportation for patients arriving at the hospital, by self-paid transportation, has so far been heavy and time consuming.

Under normal circumstances, hospitals use a lot of resources from medical secretaries and nurses to help patients fill out their applications for reimbursements of transportation. The application is processed manually in a local transportation office, and any outstanding amount is forwarded to the finance department for payout up to 10 weeks later.

The system calculates the number of kilometers based on the patient’s address information, and the application is sent electronically to the departments that administer the applications.

As the system has direct access to the hospital’s booking information, the patient’s address, and other important information such as pension and ambulance service, the system can automatically calculate prices and inform the patient directly. This means that what used to be 10 weeks of work can now be completed in to 2 days.

Trifork Transport Refund takes care of tracking and storage of all applications as well as handling of possible complaints and sends any information directly to Digital Post.
